An Indian / South Asian take on spaghetti.
Ingredients:

1 lb spaghetti

2-3 Tb olive oil
-
1 lb ground beef or lamb
-
1 1/4 tsp salt
-
1 tsp turmeric
-
1 tsp fennel powder
-
3/4 tsp chilli powder
-
2 tsp coriander powder
-
2 tsp cumin
-
1 Tb ginger-garlic paste
-
2 small onions
-
2-3 jalapeƱos or serranos
-
1 28-oz. can crushed tomatoes
-
1/2 tsp sugar
-
1/3 cup chopped cilantro
Directions:
-
Brown meat in oolive oil.

Add salt & seasonings.

Add onions & chili peppers.
-
Once onions are translucent, add ginger-garlic paste & cook for a few minutes.

Add tomatoes and 1/2 cup water.
-
Simmer until thickened..

Serve over spaghetti, topped with cilantro.
