(Turkish Chicken with Tomato Sauce and Yogurt over Bread)
This is a bit like Iskender kebab, only with chicken!

stale bread

2 cups yogurt mixed with 2 tsp minced garlic

2 chicken breasts (or 6 chicken thighs), chopped

1 onion

3 tomatoes

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 tsp paprika / red pepper flakes

2 tsp dried mint

2 tsp thyme

salt

Heat 1/4 cup oil and cook chicken thoroughly.

Add salt, paprika, and pepper flakes. Remove from heat.

Chop stale bread into bite-sized pieces. Bake at 200 °C (400 °F) for 10 min.

Heat remaining oil and saute onions.

Add tomatoes, cook 10 min.

Add salt, mint, and thyme. Cook 2 min, remove from heat.

Serve: bread (bottom) --> tomato sauce --> yogurt --> chicken (top)
